About Alena

Alena Chang is a Korean-American film editor based in NYC/NJ. Her love for film and storytelling began at a young age when her grandmother gifted her first camera, sparking a lifelong passion for filmmaking and a fascination with the power of visuals to communicate and connect with others.

With over eight years of experience in post-production, Alena has worked as an assistant editor, editor, and colorist on a wide range of projects. Her portfolio spans documentaries, narrative short films, sizzle reels, trailers, and branded content. Driven by a belief in the transformative power of collaboration, Alena is excited to work with filmmakers who share her vision of using film to create social change. Through compelling storytelling, she aims to help amplify underrepresented voices and contribute to a more inclusive and compassionate world.

Alena holds a BFA in Media Production from William Paterson University and an MFA in Post-Production from Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema.
